Serge co-founded Enterprise Law Group in 2004 with a vision to bring an entrepreneurial, value-added approach to the practice of law, while at the same time providing high-quality, cost-effective legal services.
He has handled a wide range of securities and venture capital matters, acquisitions and divestitures, and other business and financial transactions for emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, established businesses and venture capitalists. Serge's mergers and acquisitions practice encompasses public and private mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, contests for corporate control, including tender offers, and similar transactions. In the area of securities law, his work includes initial public offerings, venture capital fundings, public and private offerings of debt and equity, investment partnerships, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and compliance matters. Serge has represented United States and European clients in investments, strategic alliances, privatizations and joint venture transactions in Brazil, Chile, the Czech Republic, France, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
Serge has served as panelist and speaker at seminars and programs regarding commercial and legal developments in Russia, the former states of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He is a member of the American and Chicago Bar Associations.
He has held multiple leadership and volunteer positions with HIAS, the JUF's Young Leadership Division and the Hillels of Illinois. He also volunteers time with a number of community groups, including the Uptown Café and has handled numerous pro bono matters for the Northwestern Legal Clinic.
